Folk Rock: Bethesda is an Alt/Americana band from Kent, Ohio blending folk roots, indie beats, crafty guitars, and soaring vocal harmonies that will move your heart and feet in equal measures. The six-piece band is known for their live performances, playing festivals including Bonnaroo, SXSW, Midpoint Music, Bunbury, CMJ, Burning River Fest and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame festivals.

Newgrass Trio: Honeybucket is a Cleveland-based newgrass trio that plays whiskey drinkin', boot stompin' tunes with a dash of sweetness. The group blends tight vocal harmonies, original melodies & driving rhythm.
Soul Rock: Winslow’s unique blend of soul, rock and pop has been described by many members of the press and fans alike as a musical breath of fresh air. This sound has led them to sharing the stage with such major acts as Incubus, Earth Wind & Fire, OAR, Robert Randolph, Lupe Fiasco, and Rusted Root as well as a recent performance during SXSW.
Folk Rock: Attic Wolves is five young men with their voices, drums, guitars, mandolin, banjo, bass, trumpet, accordion, together bringing an endearing sound and a new fire to folk music.
Avant Garde Classical: Trepanning Trio is an Instrumental, avant-chamber ensemble which performs using only classical, traditional and handmade instruments (i.e., double bass, guzheng, pan lids screwed on to sticks and played with violin bows...).
Zydeco: Mo' Mojo is a nationally recognized, Zydeco-based “Pardi-Gras” band that’s female-fronted with three-part harmonies, accordion, fiddle, guitar, rubboard, sax, trumpet, harp, bass, percussion, drums.
Progressive Indie Folk: Diana Chitester imitates a four-piece band with a single acoustic guitar while accompaning her powerful instrument with an intelligent lyrical approach filled with poetic wordplay and metaphors.
Pop / Rock / Blues: Sam Brenner is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter on the rise. With his debut album, Where We Begin, under his belt, Brenner plans to release an EP & a second full-length album in 2013. He has shared stages with artists such as Lifehouse, The Verve Pipe, and Bushwalla, and has captivated audiences all across the country with his unique playing style & crisp voice.
Folk: Gretchen Pleuss is an Ohio-based, independent singer-songwriter. She recently won the Searchlight Songwriting Competition and was interviewed on Public Radio Exchange.
Chamber Folk: Christopher Black draws on an extensive classical music background and influences that include Van Morrison and the Swell Season, While he plays guitar in performance, Black is also an accomplished violist and violinist; he composes and records the string arrangements for his songs, and is a full-time member of Bethesda as a strings player.
Folk Pop Trio: Caitlin Mahoney is a singer/songwriter based in NYC. In April 2013, she released her debut 4-song EP West for a While, a folky, acoustic guitar-based record featuring her standout vocals and showcasing her ability to craft a memorable song.
Soul / Jazz / Singer-Songwriter: Alan Brooks is a fresh jazz vibe. Smart pop for the souldfully inclined and vintage inspired. Reminiscent of John Legent, Corrinne Bailey Rae and Gregory Porter
Acoustic Folk / Rock / Pop: Alexis Antes is a well established name in the Ohio Region. Many years of professional performing, touring and record making have given her a great platform to jump from. Add that with some of the renown artists she has performed with and you’ve got a spring board to boot.
Acoustic: Returning to Burning River Fest is lifelong environmentalist Steve Madewell. Steve has been performing music professionally for 40 years. "Nature is the metaphor for the messages woven throughout his original songs."
Blues/Jazz/Funk: Will Cheshier draws from his love for all kinds of music to craft an addictive blend of pop melody, funk rhythm, jazz sensibility and visceral blues emotion. Deftly rhythmic lyrics and picturesque stories are woven throughout, delivered by a strong clear voice over agile and densely complex guitar.
Alternative Rock: Burning River Ramblers bring an eclectic mix to the table and a never-ending energy to every performance. BRR takes pride in bringing together elements of alt rock, reggae, jazz, folk, and blues into a breezy, catchy musical cacophony.
Alternative: Noize from the Basement is an Alternative Rock band that was formed in 2008 and has performed in shows throughout the Cleveland/Akron area. They were voted Indie Music Channel's "Best Teen Band" and "Best Teen Album" for 2012. Noize from the Basement won the 2013 Tri-C Rockoff that was held at the House of Blues in Cleveland, Ohio.
Folk: Alex Bevan is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, poet, radio personality and musical producer living in North Madison, Ohio. Bevan won an Emmy award for his postscore of The Rustbelt Blues (1987), the final segment of NBC’s American Promise documentary series.
Reggae: Jah Messengers, which means messengers from God, follow the themes of giving a voice to the oppressed and correcting the injustices in daily life. The band has been together for 25 years and has delivered an authentic roots reggae sound to the area.
Rock / Folk: Jack and the Bear can be described as: Disney working with Bruce Springsteen’s Seeger Sessions Band, while 1970s' George Lucas writes out the screen play to each show, guided by the everlasting spirit of legends; such as, Louis Prima, Pete Seeger, and a cup of love. Also, Randy Newman sword fighting Captain Hook on top of the eye of Sauron.”
Classic Rock: The School of Rock are the best kids from the three Cleveland Schools of Rock playing their versions of everything from Louis Jordan to Porcupine Tree with some better known Zeppelin and Metallica thrown in.
Acoustic / Folk: Maintaining a high level of instrumentation and honest songwriting, the Speedbumps incorporate a combination of hollow-bodied instruments like cello, upright bass, ukulele, and acoustic guitar to create an eclectic but approachable sound.
Traditional Country: No pop group with a twangy accent here. This is country music the way it's meant to be. This is your grandfather's country music.
Funk, Hip Hop & Reggae: DJ MisterBradleyP has been spinning records since 1996. He plays all over the Midwest, throws parties everywhere, has opened for some of the biggest DJs and bands in the world and keeps Cleveland entertained as the go-to DJ. He was named Best Cleveland DJ by Scene Magazine in 2011.
Brazilian Jazz: Moises Borges is a Brazilian born guitarist and singer. His influences, a great blend of rhythms especially bossa-nova and samba, are basic to his performances. He recently played at Severance Hall, Night Town and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
